Fermo Fossati 1871 is specialized in the production of high-quality fabrics tailored for a luxury target.
Strongly rooted in tradition but immersed in contemporaneity, we cast our eyes toward the future.
Fermo Fossati 1871, the oldest silk industry in Italy and the third oldest globally, specializes in fine-tie fabrics, but also produces accessories for the fashion and luxury world such as scarves, foulards, and pocket squares.
The Seteria Bianchi brand, which has recently joined the group, stands among the very few capable of offering pure silk fabrics for various applications, from heavy curtains to wall coverings and for upholstered chairs, armchairs, and sofas.
Our most precious jacquard fabrics are brocades, lampas, brocatel, damasks, etc.
Alongside these, there are items with a simpler or more modern taste, like striped or solid-coloured fabrics, made with other fibres including linen, cotton, wool, viscose, and cupro.
We specialize in the reproduction of antique fabrics for the renovation of palaces and castles. In addition, we offer fabrics with strié dyeing, an old way to dye the skeins, in these days very few mills can offer this particular dyeing and ombré/shaded warps.
It is worth noting that for the past few years, upon request from our customers, we have been manufacturing flame-retardant fabrics by reproducing our archival designs, thus allowing us to access the hotel/contract market.
